Our discovery bundle, for the curious: Red Onyx black tea powder and Afterglow fermented green tea powder.

Red Onyx is our signature black tea powder. Made from the Benifuuki cultivar, a rare hybrid of Darjeeling and Benihomare, the leaves are lightly steamed, fully oxidized, and roasted in nine controlled stages. It is full-bodied yet lifted by citrus, with layers of spice and floral aromatics. Notes of bergamot, clove, and florals.

Afterglow is green tea allowed to evolve. The leaves are fermented with kurokōji, a black mold traditionally used in Japanese fermentation, until the structure of the leaf is fundamentally reshaped. The result is smooth, rounded, and distinctly earthy, with a grounded sweetness underneath. Once at risk of disappearing, Afterglow is made in partnership with the only remaining producer of this tea in Japan. Notes of lotus leaf, black sugar, and malt.
